Decal print is achieved by screen printing the decal/label, hand applying the label to the product then placing the product into a high temperature kiln. The label disappears in high fire and the logo remains on the product. Decal print is used on ceramic mugs, dinnerware ie. plates and bowls, most glasses including beer and wine glasses.

Variable data is when one small part of the design changes on every product – usually used for numbers or names. It is not an entire design change, just one element changing. This is often used on items such as personalised bottles or pens where the client will have a main logo that is common to all units and then add the person’s name or perhaps a number on the item as well. All variable data orders must include the data that will vary as an excel document to facilitate this method.
